When you use “Locate me” or tap the map, the app uses your device location (precise, while-in-use) to look up the parcel at that point and to center the map. Location is sent to our servers and the data providers below to return parcel information. We do not track your location in the background.
When you type an address or tap a location, that address/coordinate is sent to our mapping provider (for geocoding) and to our servers (to find the parcel).
When you use “Ask about Property,” your question and the relevant property context (location, parcel, zoning) are sent to our servers and our AI provider to generate an answer.
We may process basic technical data (app version, request logs, error diagnostics) to operate and improve the app.
We do not collect your name, email, contacts, photos, or payment details in the app. (Subscriptions, if offered, are handled by Apple, which does not share your payment details with us.)
We do not use your information for advertising, and we do not sell it.
To provide the app we share the minimum necessary data (a coordinate, address, parcel ID, or your typed question) with:
Property records (owner names, assessed values) are public records from government sources; OrdinanceIQ is not the source and does not control their accuracy.
We retain request logs and cached results only as long as needed to operate the service (cached property analyses are refreshed periodically). We do not build advertising profiles.
The app is intended for professional/general audiences and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
We use industry-standard measures (including encrypted HTTPS connections) to protect data in transit. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
We may update this policy; we'll change the “Last updated” date and, for material changes, provide notice in the app or on this site.
